Our Heavenly Homecoming

I am a fan of Beth Moore, and I am currently doing her To Live As Christ Bible study.  If you haven't done it, I highly recommend it.  It is about, as she puts it, "a journey into the life and heart of Paul the apostle".  Today as our Bible study group was doing the video portion of the study I was reminded of how miraculous and special our heavenly homecoming will be.  And Oh boy, does it make me so excited to think about.

I just got so excited as she was talking to us about it, that I had to share a small portion.  The very last point that Beth made was that "All Christians will be with the Lord FOREVER!!  Won't that be glorious?!  We will see him face-to-face.  We know longer have to imagine what He is like.  "We will see Jesus not as we have imagined Him, but as He is."  She finished up with this scripture in Job.

Job 19:23-27
"Oh, that my words were recorded that they were written on a scroll, that they were inscribed with an iron tool on lead or engraved in rock forever!  I know that my Redeemer lives and that in the end he will stand upon earth.  And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes- I, and not another.  How my heart yearns within me!"

Wow!!  We are going to see Jesus with our own eyes.  Doesn't that just make you excited to think about?  It sure does me!  Oh, "my heart yearns within me" for that day.
